So far, more than 4,000 chemicals have been found in tobacco that contain compounds such as nicotine, free radicals, harmful gases, volatile organic compounds, aldehydes, aromatics, etc. Most of these compounds cause problems such as cancer and vascular heart disease.
Filters are used to reduce harms of tobacco products. For example, current cigarettes use cellulose and acetate filters which absorb some toxic compounds and carcinogens such as tobacco tar, nicotine and aromatic compounds. Gas and liquid pollution can be reduced to some extent using photocatalytic compounds. This product is a waterpipe filter containing nanoparticles for reducing harmful substances in tobacco smoke and anti-bacterial silver nanoparticles against bacteria transferred from the hookah hose. The product can be used as a hookah mouthpiece and is planned to replace the common hookah mouthpieces.
